GT500GATOR
I was wondering if anybody has recently order the Dash Plaque for their GT500. I ordered mine on June 22nd, and received an e-mail saying that my order was "pending", but nothing since then. Also I do not see anyway to track an order or get some sort of status. I realize that they have to be manufactured, have my particular VIN# and get signed, so I expected it to take a while to get. But, is it normal to just get the "order pending" until they are actually made? I just want to make sure that I have done everything I am suppose to do. Also just wanted to say that I LOVE MY GT500! The best car that I have ever owned...by far!
Guest dougxbr
I think SAI has been overwhelmed by the response for the dash plaques and Shelby items in general. Mine was part of the first batch (ordered mid-March, recv'd mid-June), and watched a play-by-play as Bud from SAI went through the machinations necessary to produce these one-of-a-kind specialty items. In addition to the unique manufacturing, they have to get to Carroll Shelby for signature - meaning fitting into his busy schedule. And yes, all I had was an email order confirmation. After having waited for 3 months, I can tell you it's the best mod purchase I made. Superior quality and unique - simply awesome.

gtplumber_merged
Thanks. I talked to Paul from SPP who is the director of operations and they are really overwhelmed with everything. They were taking orders before they even had stock in. Another push from SAI. They will get it together soon. Those workers were thrown into the trenches with the SPP warehouse so they are really working on keeping everyone happy.

They underestimated the Brand Power.
