fastbk doc
On the GT500 is it normal for the clutch to start engaging pretty high in the pedal release? Mine seems too as well. Hard to get used to and it's all or nothing. Think it may just be a characteristic of the ceramic clutch. Anybody else noticed this?
ingram4868
Mine begins to engage pretty close to the floor. It allows me to release it just a little to get it rolling in traffic. It is right where I like it for smooth starts. I wonder if they can be adjusted?
FormerGmc
I don't know if mine would be considered "high release" or not, but the release band is very narrow.

Anybody else noticed this? Finally took delivery 8/23, the clutch is a little "tricky" and takes alittle time getting used to compared with other 6 spds. I was concerned that after reading some other posts some felt the clutch was too"stiff" and took a tole on your leg. This clutch is super easy, easier than my Vipers. NO problem at all! ssdanny69
The clutch on my car is pretty soft compared to my Viper. It seems to engage on the "lower" end
oilman
But does it seem to release "high"? It does not seem stiff to me either. Exactly, engages very quickly, takes alittle getting use to, especially in reverse. I can't understand how anyone would complain its too stiff, easier than a Vipers. My initial impression of the car - GREAT! I'm glad I took this route. Doesn't have the torque of the Viper in the lower gears, but is flat out FAST! MustangsRule
Mine engages relatively low on the pedal. Just where I like it, but it is a quick throw. Does anyone seem to have a rattle or engine noise that sounds like valves ticking. Mine is really noticable when I start it after it has sat awhile but also seems to have a little tick even after it has ran. It's a bit annoying and doesn't really sound like a high performance engine should sound like. Any takers.........

1FST ASP
Mine has always released really high compared to other cars I have owned. But now it seems like it is getting harder to get it into gear. Is anyone having a similar problem? I currently have 3700 miles and am starting to get concerned. As always, your help is greatly appreciated!! Boedy

Not sure about the ticking noise, have noy heard that on mine, however mine has what sounds like a noisy intermitant throw out bearing noise. Only seems to appear after the car has been driven a while. Any ideas?

Boedy Have you ever visited the stangsunleashed site and the GT500 forums, there has been MUCH discussion on the clutch issue, exactly what you are speaking of.
