This is an interesting idea. While I am getting on in years and my memory is not the best anymore, I will give it a go. I am not listing my kid's cars, which I usually ended up owning part of!

1972 Buick Skylark 300 2dr - wish I had it back

1974 Ford Bronco – still miss that outfit

1968 Jeep Commando - nothing but trouble

1978 Ford Conversion Van – kid hauler

1981 Ford Escort – piece of junk but ran for years

1973 Chev 2500 pickup and camper

1984 Ford F250 Super cab Diesel

1986 Ford Taurus – one of the best cars owned

1988 Ford F250 Super cab Diesel

1991 Ford F250 Diesel

1992 Ford Explorer

1995 Ford Explorer

1995 Ford F150

1997 Ford F250 Super Cab gasser

2000 Ford Explorer Eddy Bauer

2002 Ford F250 Super cab Diesel

2002 Chrysler 300M Special

2004 Ford F250 Crew cab Diesel - best truck owned

2006 Chrysler 300C Heritage Edition – probably the best car we have owned (SGT not here yet)

My list isn't impressive as some...but it starts and finishes strong.

1964 ½ Mustang Coupe 289 Auto—Bought new by my Dad and he drove it until he passed away when I was 10. I always planned on it being my first car—but my stepfather had other ideas and he sold it when I turned 16. I’m still not over it.

1984 Olds Cutlass—T-Tops, 307 V-8 with 4BBL—Bought used in 1986. Slow by today’s standards, but after playing with the engine and carb a bit, she would surprise the hell out of IROC Zs.

1982 Chevy Malibu 4-Door…miserable car—handed down to me from my Grandparents in 1992 when the Cutlass threw a rod

1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R—great vehicle—Bought used in 1993. Introduced me to the joys of handling

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee—4.0 Straight Six. Bought new for my wife, then took over driving it after a few years, kept it for 10 years and put over 200,000 miles on it

1997 Chrysler LHS—Company car that I drove for a couple of years

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee—4.0 Straight Six. Bought new for my wife. Not bad, but not nearly as good as the ’96. Got rid of it after a few years and kept driving the 96

2003 Chrysler Town and Country—Bought new in 2003. Wife’s car, I promise. I tried not to drive it much, but was caught behind the wheel occasionally

1997 Ford Taurus SHO—Bought used in 2003. Fun Car, great engine, just wish they would have made one your could shift yourself

2001 Nissan Maxima SE—Bought used in 2005. Good dependable daily driver

2007 Chevy Tahoe LT—Wife’s newest kidmobile and what I take to Home Depot

2007 Shelby GT—won’t let this one slip away, like I did the first one.

Dave,

The SGT is my first brand new car ever.

Every few years I fell in love with something new automotive, but have been making practical decisions for a long time to just clock miles, except of course on the 928S.(bought used).

BUT IT WAS TIME!!!

We may be the same vintage. I got out in 1979 too. Virginia Tech.

You should be tired of Mustangs by now. I always wanted one, never was able

until now. But better late than never.

Read my updated post , thanks

I also collected cars in the 80's I paid $4100 for my first 351 boss you can't do that anymore .The current market has ruined the fun in buying old cars. Thank God for FORD and SHELBY getting back together

Very nice list of Porsche's. But gotta love the Mustang :)

Absolutely!!!

I loved my 04 Mach 1. I rented a GT-H on a one day business trip to LA (Burbank) and really liked it, too. But, I hemmed and hawed about buying the SGT.

Then I test drove one and never looked back!!:lol:
