40th Anniv. Package started?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been contacted and scheduled for the 40th anniv. conversion yet? If so are they giving you a performance upgrade option?

As of last Friday, when I visited SAI, the 40th Anniversary Packages had not begun. I think the priority is to finish the remaining 1600-1900 S-GTs that are parked at SAI. There are an additional 100 S-GTs awaiting mods and another 300-400 2007 GT-H convertibles that need to be completed for Hertz.

They are calling people on the 40th list now and giving the option to add power mods. There are approximately 450 people on the 40th Anniversary list. Once you confirm you will need to place a $6000 deposit.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like they've got their hands full right now. That's good, means the market is going strong. Just hope my dear wife doesn't change her mind before I get the call, HA!!!!!

Interesting numbers. With over 3500 CSM #'s out already they should come close to the goal of 6000.

1600-1900 was the number I was told by SAI. There were A BUNCH of cars parked there, bit I didn't count them personally.

I put my name on the lists (both 40th Anniversary and Super Snake) in April. I got a call from Doug at Shelby last week and he said it would be some time in the September/October area before they get to me.

I'm assuming you're talking about the 40th package. Did you leave a deposit? If so, was it the $6000 I was told?

Thanks,

Jim

I visitited with John a little over a week ago and gave my deposit for the 40th anniversary package and told them I wanted the power upgrades as well. John took my $6,000 deposit and said he would call me in the next couple of weeks to set schedule. My number is 245 - he thought they might get me scheduled in by late summer? He also did not have the final pricing for the power upgrades - but the brakes alone are $8.000...I don't know if I will go that far...

Also - I have a convertible - and I will only be able to do the 600 hp option - not the full 725 hp...but who could complain! I can't wait to get it in and complete.

Did you ask if the deposit was refundable?

I think the brake package will be less. $3800 plus labor using stock wheels. Add if you go to 20" wheels and tires.

I did not ask if the deposit was refundable. I have been waiting too long to think about turning back now! The $8,000 was the number that John with SAI told me - he said he did not have the blower cost yet - but that was the brake cost. I am having the 20's put on with the 40th package and I don't know if that is a factor.

That's right! I forgot that the 20" wheels come with the 40th Anniversary Package. If you are getting the same brakes as the SS then you are looking at $3095 for the front and $695 for the rear plus labor.

Here are the links from Shelby Performance Parts:

Front and rear cooling ducts area part of the 40th package. Prices have not been released for the cooling duct kits.
