Shortstuf
I was talking to a Ford dealer today and he said that he can get me a brand new 0 miles 2007 Shelby GT-H with a 5 speed manual transmission that Hertz did'nt get first. The car is'nt a GT it is a GT-H according to this dealer. Did Shelby build any GT-H cars with a 5 speed manual? The dealer also said that Shelby was going to sell some of the GT-H cars to the public through Ford dealers. If so any idea of how many and what one of these cars new with a manual 5 speed transmission and with 0 miles on would be worth? Thanks for any help. Shortstuf
I got the vin number today from the dealer and e-mailed Shelby and the car is a GT not a GT-H like they said so I won't be buying this car. The car is at Shelby right now. I'll start looking for a dealer that will sell a GT 500 at a sensible price, lots of luck ha. Thanks for the help. Thanks for the help. i thought it was a SGT. good luck on finding a GT500, i spoke with a small dealer today and tried to buy his 08 allocation, he told me he sold his 07 GT500 for msrp. my point being that some of these cars are being sold at lower prices. michael
amyb
On the SGT-H, There were 5 manuals. ! went to Carroll, which was auctioned off, the other 4 went to Hertz executives. I do not know if these are for sale. I would think not, but maybe..... Although rare because they are manuals, I think the cars that were reneted are more special....just me Amy

Shortstuff, the car is a Shelby GT not just a GT I believe. Unfortunately, there are ALOT of sales people out there sellinggreat vehicles they know absolutely nothing about. The Shelby GT is almost the same as the GT-H. The stripe color and hood are different. Other than that I dont think ther eis anything different. Correct me if I am wrong people that know for sure. The Shelby GT is a awesome car and if you like the GT-H you will not be disappointed by the Shelby GT. As was mentioned there are a few sales people who come on heer that would give you a great buy on one and you wont get rolled over on price. chilli bullitt
My dealer has a new SGT on the floor and they said they may take under MSRP to move it because they havea "real" Shelby on the way, a GT500. Of course I let it go because I didn't have the time to explain things to him at the time. Not sure if they are going to put ADM on the GT500 yet. My dealership tried & tried to insist to me that it was a brand new GT-H! I was very clear that we were talking about a Black Car with GOLD stripes! They said yes! I said show me on the internet. I was shown a GT-H. I gave them my deposit anyway, knowing full well it would be a Shelby GT! Sure enough, about 2 months later the dealership realized the mistake, or rather came to know what the difference was between a GT and GT-H. Everyone is right, the dealerships don't know very much about these cars! Oh well...
