GT500 Convertible

Ford gave us permission to post the first official photo of the GT500 convertible prototype:

Bummer that they pulled it! You think that is the final prod. version? It looks like it lost the front splitter used on the yellow proto, but it was hard to tell from the pic that was posted on the link...

Well, even if they did pull it, Ford still allowed it in the FORD WORLD Newspaper. Nice size picture of it on a story of Shelby visting AAI. They said he was checking out their prototype Shelby (convertable).

 

One thing I did notice, the funky grilled "scoops" that have been seen on the yellow prototype, are also on this conv.

It looks like that hood is going to be "the one" because of "good air flow characteristics in all the right places". I'm more happy with it since they fixed the stripes, and for me, functional = good. They just need to improve the grills (on the hood--make 'em nicer), IMO.
