Cobra Boy
I took delivery of my new GT 500 a couple of days ago and I just have to tell anyone that cares that it is truly everything that I wanted it to be. While I behaved myself while driving it home (no I didn't trailer it), I could definately feel the power and the handling and tell that the car was made to run. I haven't had many sunny days so I haven't drivven it as much as I would like but I can make it until spring. My plan is to drive the car less than 3000 miles per year and keep it forever to hand down through the family but I do promise to drive it with vigor when I get it out. Thanks to Carrol Shelby for creating a legacy that I hope lasts forever. By the way, also thanks to my wife who supported the idea of buying this car. I have also attached a pic of my new ride. Cobra Boy
Congratulations! Are those Tungsten color stripes? Yes they are. I would be happy to send you a couple of better pics whenever I can get some sunshine to shoot some. I liked the tungsten because it didn't jump off the car as much but really added to it. DeLa1Rob
Actually it is Cobra Boy ^_^ that deserves the congratulations on the GT500 purchase. My local dealers are still in high ADM mode  - so I am still Shelbyless. Living in a small town and surrounded by small towns, I never expected the local dealers to play this game. robin

I bought mine from a small town dealer but fortunately they were great to work with. I wanted to post a better pic though (because I'm so proud you know) I also included a pic from an event I attended in St Louis this weekend where we were able to get seven GT500's together for a great afternoon. Hope it turns out okay, I was having a difficult time sizing it for this forum. Cobra Boy
crispy23c
All coupes, eh? Cool pics. I am, unfortunately, in the same boat as Robin. So, I'm in a holding pattern and am strongly considering the Shelby GT w/Supercharger...or waiting for the '500 to be reasonable. I honestly cannot make a qualified decision as I want a convertible and have to wait to see if the GT can be ordered as one. Plus, I like the lower weight of the Shelby GT. So I either have to wait for the ADMs to drop, or hope that the Shelby GT doesn't get the dealers as greedy, or wait some more. Very frustrating to say the least. At least there is great new product rolling out the doors these days. Makes it worth the wait. You are a lucky guy, Cobra Boy!
