jrav8er
Okay I have a engine question for the 05-06 v6 mustang. Was this engine a new release for 05 or was it in another model year also. I ask this because I absolutely HATE the plastic valve covers and I am looking for something different. I see a company selling a really nice set of polished or blue powdercoated V8 mustang valve covers but nothing for the V6. I want the valve covers on my car to match the vista blue paint mine is painted in. Any suggestions. Can the plastic be powdercoated? I am thinking they no because they cant be charged to hold onto the powder before baking. Can they be painted and will it hold up to the heat ? or flake off after time? Shelby_CS8
This is a new model of engine only in the 05 and newer. My suggestion, pull your valve covers and have your body shop paint them color keyed. I did on mine and it looks AWESOME. If your body shop does the proper prepping, it will last a long time. Powder coating wont work.
pyrat
Jason, I seem to remember reading the Paxton supercharger was set to 9 lbs of boost on the CS6, is that correct?
