Does the VIN# tell us what number our Shelby is being made? First of all....good for you! Congrats. In a nut shell, here's the deal. The "line" is a long one. While they spit out a car every 5-7 minutes, it's not as though your car starts at the top of the line and 7 minutes later it's done. They start a car down the line in those increments when they're spooling up. The actual process depends on line speed and other factors. You'll have a build week...then a build day...then the exact order your car is lined up in. Chances are, you won't know the last element. They have released the first cars and they're shipping now. They were on hold for quality control. Yours could be "produced", then "released" fairly quickly. When it comes to shipping, that's another matter. Your car may or may not sit in que while enough vehicles (not necessarily Shelbys) accumulate to go to your region and/ or your dealer. Finally, no your VIN does not represent a place in line. The last digits are sequenced randomly. I'm sure you'll be able to contact Ford Performance after you pick up your car and they'll be able to tell you if you're #1 or #10,000! Again, congratulations. Holder, and would also like to know if VNMOUS and Tiger are Power Lease Holders? My dealer is an SVT dealer but also sell Saleens, Rouch etc...
