dave c
Ok I have the Shelby pod, the oil temp gauge never moves always at the bottom. anyone else? Mark Mark did SAI install it? Has it ever worked? Something is seriously wrong. I would contact SAI if they installed it. We have it on ours, oil pressure and fuel pressure read as soon as you start the car. The boost gauge does not read until you punch it 2500 rpm's. This is my wife's favorite feature of the car. Hope this helps, keep us posted. Mark Mark, I just had my gauge pod installed yesterday at SAI, and it behaves like yours. Oil temp. never goes above 140 F. The oil temp. should be at 180F - 200F at normal operation. I have a email into SAI asking what's up with the low oil temp. reading.

Mark OK - I think that there is definitely something wrong. How can your oil temp be that much lower than your water temp.? Oil temp should be close to water temp.; about 180F-200F
SPP-Keith
OK - I think that there is definitely something wrong. How can your oil temp be that much lower than your water temp.? Oil temp should be close to water temp.; about 180F-200F Currently, we're seeing average readings of 20* below engine coolant temp. This reading is being taken from a sending unit that is installed in a billet block (that is remotely mounted from the engine). In some cases, it takes a few minutes for the temp to register. Also, it's a cooler climate out so your ambient outside temp will affect the oil temp as well. Hope that helps a little.
AstroDan
Mine also stays at or near bottom. It willll get up to no more than maybe 155 even after many hours' long ride...

Oil temp, as measured by the guage runs cool. As said above the temp sensor is outside the block in a separate billet mounting point plumbed from the filter adapter. If you spend any time on the track, lots of hard pulling and high revs, you will see it climb so it's working. You're just going to have to remember it runs cool. Let uour car idle for 5-10 min, then the oil tem will climb to about 145F, when the outside air temp is 50F. Try it!
