When will you be "done" with your GT500?

What do you plan to do to your GT500? Realistically, at what level of modding will you consider yourself done?

I've done the FRPP Axle-back exhaust and want to add the handling pack and CAI/Tune. Cosmetically, a few Shelby aluminum interior trim pieces, the dash plaque and the billet engine caps and strut tower brace. Maybe the 3 gauge cluster. Have swapped on a shorter antenna, tinted it 50%, and put in Mustang all weather floor mats.

Plan is to keep it virtually all Shelby or FRPP. Nothing too drastic. No shifter, no gears, no add-on body parts.

...the journey is the fun part. Why would you ever want to stop plotting and planning???? That's why owning a car like this is a very expensive hobby! :happy feet:

ditto X 100

It really never stops .... u always want to do something else ... something different ... Heck ... i want the larger inter cooler tank .. the larger heat exchanger ... bigger rear rims and tires .... i want to lower the car ... it just never stops.

Right now I am trying to stay in a holding pattern after my last spending binge .... it was a douzee :hysterical2:

i have a list that has seems to have at least settled for now. mod's done: evolution/jlt stage 1, corsa axle backs, frpp handling pack, steeda uca, steeda lca, panhard bar & frpp shifter. mod's i know i will do: 18" or 19" wheels (11" wide in the back with a 305+ width tire), evolution tvs 2.3L stage 2/3, 3.73 rear gears, hid lights, driveshaft, porterfield brake pads, heat exchanger, ic resovoir, slotted/cross drilled rotors. as of today that will do it for me. it will be a fun journey getting there.

i have not even considered any cosmetic changes to the interior, exterior or under hood. i prefer to do more performance mod's.

I'm pretty sure I'll be done when the first spade of dirt lands on my coffin! :rip:

My pockets aren't as deep as my wish list is long. So, by the time I get anywhere close to where I want it to be, I'm sure things will start breaking. And it starts all over again.

Pretty soon I'll be back to where I was with my '66 coupe track car.

You mean we can actually get these done to where there is nothing else we want to do to them?

I don't think so.

When I first brought my car home, I was planning on keeping it 100% stock. It was a bit quiet so I put on a set of axle back exhaust. Then I thought I'd better let it breath in a bit better and a CAI went on. After a pulley and headers went on I noticed that traction was an issue so LCAs and drag radials were installed. Now I'm thinking that I need to lower the under hood temps to keep the hood paint job looking nice. A Whipple 2.9L should do the trick.... :spend:

I thought i would have been done after $12,000 in mods but I can see at least another $12,000 coming soon. then i will be done i think!

I spent $2500.00 in mods and my wife was almost done with me!! Some will have to wait or I will need to sleep on your couch.

No, as I kinda expected, it's been delayed...And I hope you have a festive new year as well.

My family and I are leaving for Tahoe in 1 hour, hopefully beating some of the traffic...and snow tonight.
