unusual GT500

Most likely, this is a regular GT500 with top and side stripe deletes. Anyone else have another sense of this? Jim

A year ago, I was #2 on a list and was called (as #1 fell out) to purchase an Ebony Coupe with NO stripes whatsoever. It is NOT common, but they do exist... the Ebony car looked kinda cool in a Stealth kind of way...throw some black rims on her...

Just picked it up this morning and brought it home. Nice drive, about an hour. The wife in the subie kept up, surprised the heck out of me but then agin the roads were wet and some snow so I did not go nuts. Much as I wanted to of course. All went well and the dealer kept his word, msrp, $43975, not a penny more. I thanked him and said I'd be back for the next one.

nice car and good price..i hate tape stripes and i hate stickers of any type...i will defently not be ordering any gt500 or other (boss, gt350..if they are built) with the stripes...stripe delete will be checked...street sleeper for me...this would also include removing all the cobra badges as well..cannot stand those either....

Thanks for the replys guys. Today was not so bad so I took it out for a rip up and down the mountain. Had to drive thru a big snow bank on my road, but screw it. It was fun.

I wasn't a fan of GO. but I am now. I hadn't seen one without stripes. That looks awesome!!! You will notice the lack of stripes on my car as well. Enjoy it and great price.

Yes they do exist, and I have have one of 'em. I'm all about stealth mode. With stripes, it just screams "hey look at me'! Without 'em...nobody knows what it is until they get right on top of you and see the snakes and stuff. I am however considering alloy side stripes. It will enhance the look and still can't be seen from the front or rear.

Gimme zing, not bling :hysterical:

Yes but isn't that the point? I mean seriously, why do you think Exotic cars look so Exotic?

Yet I agree the most disappointing thing about the GT500 is that the stripes are Vinyl and stickers. On a 20k or 30k car I would expect that, but on a 45k car it should be paint.

The GT500 I bought has the over the top delete but still has the side sticker. Gonna probably get stripes painted as it just looks better and lasts longer. Wonder if they can paint the side sticker as well. Ya think there is a template for it yet?

Please post pics if you do!

I was thinking of the same thing on my black stripe delete!

Great looking car. My car is very stealthy with the black with alloy stripes. Most the time you can hardly see the stripes.

I have to agree the stripes should probably have been painted on at this price level. Harley-Davidson licensed their wet-on-wet paint process to Ford so they could paint the flames on the 2005 Harley-Davidson F-350. I tell you what, they look awesome, so much better than stickers!

That is a flame job...how hard could it be to paint on some stripes!
