I know there are members and owners from Ohio on here. Let's figure out where everyone is and maybe we can set up some type of get together sometime.

I'm in southeastern Ohio, near Athens. Let's hear from the rest of you!

Canton Ohio.... I'll go about anywhere.

Stuart

Canton is cool, I've been there. I lived in Akron as a child until the age of 8. Ever hear of Fairlawn area? Near Copley.

Went to a restaurant called Bear Creek...awesome, but now closed.

Football hall of fame is there.

Summit racing is not too far.

Props dude. :happy feet:

Dave,

We like it here. If you ever want to go to the Hall of Fame Game let me know--we get a lot of tickets every year... Hopefully, I will see you at the Shelby Fest this year. Is it in Fischer, IN? Regards.

The Shelby Fest is in Hermann MO.

I'm in Columbus Indiana...about an hour south of Indy. I think it would be about a 7-8 hour drive for me up to Canton...just an estimate.

I'm about 75% sure I'm going to Hermann...have to wait on some work schedules to be set first.

Lots of north coast owners here. Looks like I'll have to travel a ways if we can put together some kind of get together. Anyway, thanks for responding and hopefully we'll all get to meet one of these days.

Alloy Dave, Portsmouth isn't too much of a stretch for me, if you hear of any events in that area you are planning to attend let me know and I'll try to make it too.

Central Ohio here. 7 miles from Columbus. West Jefferson on the west side of columbus. I have met a bunch of gt500 owners around here(about 10). A couple that are members on here too.

I know I will be Racing up in Norwalk, OH the weekend of july 11th for FunFordWeekend. I am pretty sure I will be in norwalk again the weekend of June 6th for the recording of PINKS (a drag racing show on speed ch.) I have 4 friends that are racing that weekend. I will be at National Trails (drag racing) Labor Day Weekend too. I will be up in Mt Vernon (Pacemakers) a few times this summer for drag racing too.

I have a White SGT and live in the Cincinnati area but the vehicle is in storage in AZ. I know of at least one other White SGT on the East side of Cincinnati. You may wish to consider a central location and one with the best of all props. Every year in June there is a Cobra festival in London Ohio and this is just outside of Columbus. Columbus is centrall located for everyone in the state which makes it fair! There will be well over 100 Cobras and there is even burnouts in the street and 1/8 mile racing right in the center of town with a radar sign which gives you your speed at the end of the 1/8 mile. The street is shut down for the festival and there is plenty of booths for shirts, hats, all types of food, and every cobra vendor is represented. Go to GOOGLE and type in London Cobra Show. There will even be portable dynomamoters for testing. This is in a small Normal Rockwell town out in the country (corn fields) outside of Columbus OH.

This is a great show! Over 100 cobras line up outside of town and there is a procession into town. The entire center of town is closed for the cobra festival and strawberry festival. Lots of food booths, 1/8 drag racing right in town on a closed city street. All the major cobra vendors and parts vendors are there with booths, demos, etc.

Sandusky, Ohio - North central, right on lake Erie. Home of Cedar Point Amusement Park

I grew up in Wauseon (Old Exit 3 on the OH Turnpike)... But I now live in Kansas City... However, I try to get back once every year to see my 88 year old Grandmother :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: ... And I ALWAYS give myself an extra day or two just to get my "fix" of 'coasters at Cedar Point :drop:

But this year, we are also going to try to make it a little more special for me and one of my old HS friends... Every month during the Summer there is a SUPER CRUISE in my old home town... So this July 15th, I am taking my White SGT back home to be in the car show... Along with my friend's 1964 427 A/FX Mercury Comet (only 1 of 6 remaining in existence)...

Columbus, OH here and grew up just south of Akron, OH so Alloy Dave and I have alittle in common. Dave, it was a pleasure meeting you at Shelby Feast 2008 in

Hermann, MO. As for where to meet, well so far I have been lucky enough to go to Las Vegas, NV, Los Angelos, CA, Detriot, MI, Cranson, RI, Hermann, MO and scheduled to be at Tulsa, OK this June so then anywhere around Ohio should be a piece of cake. Pick the spot and I'll be there.

I went to the Cobra show in London, OH last year and it was a fun time and yes there were alot of Cobras!

It appears that me and Alloy Dave and MB GT500SS has something in common. I was born in Barberton and lived there until I was about 6 years old. We then moved to Akron (Kenmore) where I spent the rest of my child hood until I went into the Army at the age of 23. Haven't lived there since but my dad is still alive. When I started driving, I worked in Fairlawn on Market St. at the Red Barn by Summit Mall. I remember when Summit Racing had a garage on Kenmore Blvd. that they used when they first started out. Now I live right next to the home town of Shelby Fest (Hermann MO). I'll be going to the Summit Racing Mustang show on August 2nd so I am bringing the Shelby. Stop on by and say HI.

LuLu,

Are you still coming to Wauseon on the 15th??? I'll be in town on the 14th, and have a full slate of "activites" already planned... Most involve good food and old friends  ... However, I'll be at CEDAR POINT, rain or shine, all day on the 17th :shift: ... But if I don't see you there, then probably back at Hermann in 2009...

Drive Safe!
