I don't think they be "at" either place. Ford will give out the allocation to dealers sometime around Shelby's birthday. I doubt they are going to stand there and read of a 1000 dealers getting them. frydguy79
$100,000.00 over a yet to be announced sticker price, how nice. This might be the best example of the "stupid factor" as it applies to new car purchases. that kinda is the california retail market ---------- --------------at 100+ over not the dealer to dealer market
GT500-07
So Ford will hold some type of National meeting around January 11th for the next round of allocations? Do you know if Ford is doing all the allocations at that time or just releasing a certain number of them?

ShelbyDude
I wonder if they will auction one off at Barrett-Jackson? If they do I wonder if they will pass it off as being number one of a 1000 to be made? Since they got at least two already built, the blue one they have and the black one made for the Knight Rider flick, or will those not count and be considered part of the normal production run? ShelbyDude
Ah see, they are already making more than they said they would. Maybe the blue one they have is considered a prototype or something? The one they made for the Knight Rider flick may not be considered a genuine KR since it was probably built special for the show and lacks a lot of parts. Maybe more of clone look alike or something? Dunno. It amazes me how much these are going for right now without knowing what actual MSRP will be yet. Some think in the 50's, but I think more in the 70ish range. Even Amy warned everyone it will be expensive. ================================= "Posted on: Sep 1 2007, 11:55 PM I find it weird that someone would pay 58K over sticker when the don't know sticker. I have warned all of you from the beginning this car will not be cheap, it's limited and parts for this car have been designed only for this car, so it will bare the brunt of the tooling as well. It is also pre title, so it will go thru all of ford's engineering, quality, standards, etc. Hood, front splitter, hood pins are all new. And then there's NITSA, and carb, that will be divided over the limited run. Even I do not know the price yet. You really need to look at this as a very special vehicle , with very special parts that will never be used for any other car then a gt500KR and a limited run and its a 40th Amy"

The Knight Rider cars aren't real KR's. They are Mustang GTs with automatic transmissions, and have been modified by Galpin Auto Sports in CA to look like KRs. I believe 6 have been built, in various configurations. If you see pictures of the interior, and look past all the fake techno-goodies glued everywhere, it's a stock GT interior.
