I don't know if this has been brought up somewhere, and I just missed it, but I can only imagine how many people will rush out and buy one when they see the new I AM LEGEND movie with Will Smith. I have seen a brief clip of the Red w/ white striped GT500 he drives in it, but my understanding from those who have had the opportunity to peek at additional footage is that it leaves you wanting to go straight out of the theatre and buy this car! Imagine if you could have any car in New York to drive...Will Smith makes a bold choice...and who hasn't wanted to drive through the upper east side at 100 mph? :happy feet:

So kneel before Will Smith, for he is LEGEND!:roses:

82 seconds to cross Manhattan?!

anything more than that would have seemed like a roadtrip!!! :headspin:

Got to see ELEONOR alot more in "GONE IN 60 SECONDS"

and LONG BEACH is alot smaller than "MANHATTEN".............. :waiting:

I videoed both episodes of "Shooting Cars" on the Speed channel that shows how the scene was filmed where the GT500 blows through the showroom glass and lands on the street. Now, for the coincidences:

I bought a red/white striped GT500 (just like in the movie) last month. The movie will be released on Friday, Dec 14, 2007. This is my birthday. I was also born on a Friday. Guess this means I'll have to go park my car as close to the movie house as possible, see the movie, then run out after the flick, jump in my car and drive it like I stole it. :shift:

Whew...thank goodness.

I thought you were going to say the coincidence was that you drove yours through a glass window. :ohsnap:

I just saw the movie, but I didn't see the car drive through glass...guess that scene got cut...

Good movie though! :headspin:

I just saw "I Am Legend" Saturday night. That's one of the scariest PG-13 movies I've seen! Great flick.

The opening sequence with the GT500 gave me chills! Wow, that thing sounded sweet roaring through the streets and echoing off of the buildings. I laughed when I noticed the window sticker still on the car in the sequences.

Can you imagine trying to shoot deer while trying keep the GT500 on the road at high speeds? No thank you.

+1

First hour of the film was very intense, kinda got hokey near the end...But GREAT screen time in the Gt500, wanted to "rewind" that part over and over :shift:
