Anyone install Clear front blinker lens?

Sorry no pics till daylight but I bought a set of all clear front blinker lens. They look awesome and are a must I feel for most GT500 owners.

A few thing to know you will need yellow replacement bulbs to stay street legal since stock ones are clear. Make sure before you order that the lens you are getting is All clear. A few of the mustang suppliers are selling them with a small yellow reflector insert which pissed alot of people of and prompted a bunch of refunds.

I got excellent quality all clear lens with bulbs and even clear sidemarkers for 45 dollars from Revotec on Ebay. Some people are paying 100+ dollars for all clear front lens since most manufacturers are selling them now with the yellow refletor piece.

Also I did not install the set of clear sidemarkers since they would kind of look a little to Ricey, you would need a red bulb also.

I can't get the link to work but I have the clear ones without reflectors from American Muscle sitting on the shelf, I'll put them on when I do the HE. I also have the silver reflectors for the rear side markers that just came in and a few other goodies going on during this vacation.

Please post Pics when you can, I bet they look fantastic.

Where did you get those lenses & black housings, Orfy?

Actually, I got them from Atomic Street. I don't think they have a web site, but they do have an EBay store. I got these. The price is low enough, that if you don't like them, you won't be out much.

***EDIT to add***

Swapping the housings is easy, but a PITA. You have to pull the front wheels and remove the wheel well shrouds to access the housing mounting locations.

Very Nice Orf!!

Thanks, Lambbo. Makes me glad I voted for you (after my vote for Farmdog didn't help - hey, his is a 'vert like mine).

I'm not big into the cosmetic stuff, but I have a few things I'd like to do between now and spring. On my color, Alloy, those housings blend right in.

Thanks for the vote, I voted for Farmdog too and it almost bit me!! LOL!!

I seen these clear/black housing lenses the first time on a Tungsten car. They looked great so I ordered a set. I didn't have time to get them on the last time I was home and I'm glad now. I have to pull the front bumper cover to install he new HE so I'll pop them in this time.

The last cosmetic mod will be tinted tail lights. I found a guy in California that does them by hand and they look absolutely gorgeous. I will pick up a spare set of tails and send them out to him. I think a light shade over them will look good on the dark colored cars.

These are a little darker than I want but you get the Idea.

Where in CA is this guy? And how much does he charge? I was thinking of doing a tint overlay, since CA cops are a pain, so it might require removal at some point.

Did those come with the clear lenses, or did you have to buy them separately?

I put them on my white GT. Looks fantastic. I put silverstar bulbs in for the turn signals, left the side markers white. The silverstars are amber when on and blue iridescent when off. RUF pointed me to some bulbs that are chrome when off and amber when lit, but at $30/pair they are just a little too pricey for me.

I think on a yellow or GO car you need to leave the amber. Clear would look weird.

The clear would look fine, it's the GO that looks wierd. :shades:

I went with plain, old, regular amber bulbs for mine. I forget how much, but probably under 5 bucks. For the pair. Per side.

Since my Shelby is Vista Blue, those Silverstars would probably look nice. Where did you get them?

The bulbs that are chrome when off are here:

The Silverstars are made by Sylvania and are available at most auto parts chains in my area anyway. Like $10/pair so about double the cost of regular ones.

Here's mine with the clear/black housing. I just put in regular amber bulbs, available at most auto parts stores. When off, you can't really tell what color they are unless you get up close. Now I need smoked head/fog lights.
