Sorry about all the pics I just really like it. Very nice. But how much over M.S.R.P. did you have to pay the dealer to get it? Were you first in line at your dealer? Is the crank okay on the engine? Did you get the Shaker 500 or the 1000? What song was playing when you first opened the package?
sharon
I got mine for 32.99 or something like that, plus shipping. They came only in Red/white, Blue/white,White/blue or Black/gold not sure why they are offering that color. The company I ordered from is sold out. He is trying to get more. I also ordered a Blue/white I couldnt decide what color i wanted on the real one. :happy feet: I was playing "born to be bad"

But - it has the red inserts in the interior. Just like the one I'm robbing a bank to buy.

DutchGT500
Wait for the AutoArt Shelby GT500 coming out. Ok, it is more expensive around $80, but highly detailed comparing to the Shelby Collectibles one. The Shelby Collectibles is a very nice example but I am an AutoArt fan. How is the quality of these Shelby collectible brands? Is it better than ERTL? I will probably wait it out for the AutoART Shelby GT-500 in red. White with blue stripes would be my second pick and then probably a black GT-500 my third pick but I can only have one because I have hundreds and hundred of 1:18 scale diecast that has taken over my house. I like the red GT-500 the best with white stripe. :happy feet: I got my Diecast in the mail today was very excited :bandance: . sharon
The place that I ordered from is out right now. I did find a couple of the Shelby Coll. on Ebay going for about 37$ dollars. I really like the quality of the model. It has svt on the tires on the door sill. The sun visors move. The trunk is pretty detailed. The paint is nice. It really is well done. Richard
The Shelby Collectibles 2007 Shelby GT500's that I had coming are sold out except for the Gray one. The importer has not made a decision on whether to import more to the US because of a price increase. For those of you who are still looking for the 2007 Shelby GT500 in a diecast, Mattel and AutoArt are both releasing it this summer. Mattel will be offering Black, Blue and Red in their standard release which is available for pre-order at $29.95. Mattel will also be offering it in Red and White in their Elite version. The Elite version is higher detailed and will only be made to order by Mattel. They are available for $54.95. The cut off date to pre-order an Elite version is fastly approaching. AutoArt has annouced they will be releasing a 2007 Shelby GT500 in Red this summer which is available for pre-order at $67.45 and limited to 6000 pieces. In my opinion, the AutoArt will be the highest level detailed car. I have not seen any of the new Mattel Elite releases and cannot offer an opinion on them. The Shelby Collectibles and standard Mattel release should be on par with each other as far a detail and quality is concerned. One area to note is the boxes on the Shelby Collectibles cars is of thin material and does not hold up well. Evil95GT
Has anyone contacted GMP diecast to see if they're planning one? If so, I'd recommend buying one of them. I have *one* GMP model (it's a Fox body Vert) and it's more detailed than any model I've ever seen. Right down to the factory airbox and plug wires. It's amazing, but @ $100, I could only afford one (for now).

But AutoArt is a winner anyone know when AutoArt will come out with the Red with white stripes? :happy feet:
