SGT2666
I've put the 11psi Whipple on my car and it makes great power but even with 285's on the back traction in the first two gears is a bit sketchy. I read about cars like the new Nissan GTR that is doing 11.7 quarters right out of the box and is a fierce handler as well and I wonder what it takes to get that done. I don't see any inherent benefit to having full independent suspension for getting out of the hole. So what does it take? Can we have a car that gets out of the hole hard without sacrificing handling? It seems there must be tradeoffs or the manufacturers would have given us the right geometry from the get go. Just interested in what you guys think.
RogerS
I ran across this white paper done by Griggs that I thought was pretty interesting, thought some of you might be interested. Grigs performance it looks like some solid research went into this. Good find. There are a few out there I have been comtimplating. Fays is another as is the Saleen setup. Lakewood also has a new setup also. I am leaning to this setup due to it complete system approach. I am a little apprehensive of Watts link set ups that utilize the center section as a pivot point. http://powerhouse411.com/catalog/index.php...;products_id=
pagerart
I am not sure how much it helps off the line, but the Fays2 watts link has really improved the handling of my SGT. I think it, or something like it, is a must have.

I have a friend who is putting his name down for one, looks like it will be a great car, it has an awesome awd system from what I hear and it is also going to be a 70k plus car. For our setup(meaning mustang setup, you already have better than my gt500), from what I have read there are quite a few mods avail with the griggs full watts link kit being the top tier but very pricey and basically going down in pricing from there. SGT2666
The watts links systems look very interesting, I think they will help with handling but not straight line performance. Stuff I'm seeing talks about changing the top and bottom control points to change how the rear end reacts under power, for straight line performance. I don't want to get to carried away but I'd like to explore some of this stuff. Griggs will be back from SEMA next week I"m gonna have a talk with him. I ran a 11.43 at 123.80, 60' 1.63 with MT ET Streets 11.5x26x17 with 14 psi and hook hard, can tell by my mark on tire vs rim. Letting clutch out at 5500 rmps. The car was dyno at 463 RWHP/411RWTQ My mods consists of Steeda adj. upper control arm, Steeda adj. pand hard bar, Fiore billet lower control arms, Steeda relocation brackets for LCA, power house 4'' alum. DS, loop, 410s, Trutrac diff. and cars goes dead straight on launch. Just installed charge motion deletes and re-tune with 103 race fuel at 12.5 boost Dyno at 503RWHP/448RWTQ. Scary!!!!! I added some protection with a Alcohol Injection System 50/50 mix.

Good stuff sounds like youre having fun I've been looking at Watts link and lower control arms, I'm finding suspension mods to be an expensive hobby
Milstang
I'm hoping SPP will come out with something soon. We now have multiple Shelby Mustangs that will need this upgrade with the HP getting higher and higher. Patiently waiting...and hoping for a Mod shop in Birmingham to take my money.
