RUFDRAFT
Okay. Most of you know how bad my PSDS is... Who will be the first person to get a ride in your Shelby/Mustang/SVT/Cobra/500/whatever? I don't have to think about this one. If it wasn't for my wife, this car wouldn't be coming home to me. She gets the first ride. And - she's told me that she has something "very special" planned for that first ride! Perhaps I better have traction control on then....

Pony Ride
I think I should take my bank manager since he will be paying for most of the car.
MSRPSHELBY
My 6 year old daughter Emily and 3 year old son Shawn will ride with me. When we bought our new van my daughter spilled a pop at the dealership all over the carpets. I guess no drinks for her in this car.

mach1fever
It will be my wife just like the mach. The only thing that sucks is the mach is the one we drove off in when we got married. I know I am going to kick myself for selling it but I would kick myself if I didn't get a shelby as well. Roger

Willie
I got the first ride. Let me explain. My friend Steve and I drove 700 miles from Arizona to central California to pick up my new car. Once we got there, I bought the car, drove it and the one-way rental to the airport to drop it off, then back home. To show my appreciation to Steve for helping me pick up the car, I let him drive first. In fact, he overheard the salesmen talking as he's getting in the GT500 and I'm getting in the rental, "Can you believe the guy who bought the car is driving the rental?" The first time I got in my new car was at the airport, and it was the passenger seat..!! It was about 2-1/2 hours later and 200 miles down the road that I finally got to drive my car. That was our first gas stop, Los Angeles. How's that for friendship? Yes, I chattered the clutch just as Steve had done. He said that made him feel really good....! regalt87
I needed to go 40 miles to pick up my Shelby and my wife wouldn't take me. (she hates the car) and I had to get a friend to give me a ride there. 4 years ago, I bought a really nice 84 Grand national to flip and decided to give to my 16 YO daughter. She said she wasn't driving that POS. Now how cool would she have been driving that? Kids are spoiled and she's just like her mom. Last week I told her boyfriend to run as fast as he can!! Charles Stunkard
Picked mine up in Ohio, about 3 hours from home. My 16 year old son and I drove home in it together. He was also the first and only other person to drive it so far…. and yes I was in the passenger seat the entire time he was driving it, I’m not that crazy! jcthorne
The make ready mechanic was the first to ride in my car. I drove the pre delivery inspection and filled the tank (on the dealer's credit card). Car had just over 2 miles when we left on the PDI road test......Radiator failed at 12. All good since though.
