Secondo
Well, the Boss 302 engine is back in a production Ford!!! It's just attached to a Cobra GT body in AU. Article. That is awesome!! Sharon also started a topic about the Aussie car. Gotta hand it to the Aussies. Here's another article about it: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/07/austral...lb-ft-fpv-cobra

MustangFanatic
Interesting but it's a Boss 302 in name only, it's a 5.4V engine rated at 302 KW not 302 cid as was the original. Personally, I'm not 100% sold on a Boss 302 Mustang powered by a 5.4L 4V engine unless it's an all alloy configuration to keep the weight down because a Boss Mustang should handle as well as it accelerates. If Ford is going to build a Boss Mustang powered by a 5.4L engine, call it a Boss 329. In fact, I would propose Ford offer two Boss models concurrently. Here would be my suggestion for a '09 Mustang lineup: Base Mustang: 3.5L V6 - 250 HP Mustang GT: 4.6L 3V V8 - 320 HP Boss 302 Mustang: 5.0L 4V - 400 NA HP (use exsiting FRPP 5.0L block and heads) Boss 329 Mustang: 5.4L 4V S/C 500 HP (replacement for GT500 w/unique Boss styling) Key lesson Ford should take away from this exercise is that they need to build a hi-po sedan for the U.S. - they sorely need an entry in that segment.
