:banghead: What say if we just come in here and take a second to find a smilie that suits what ever you were going to post. And instead of P.O. other people you just link to the thread that gets you annoyed etc. Then as the board grows we don't have to suffer through some of the threads that have degenerated from the informative, intelligent, thoughtful and yes even interesting things that most of us value about this site. I will go first. :finger:silly E-bay tit for tat Give it a try. We may all be a little better off for it.

Yeah it was a good one wasn't it? LOL

I was simply doing the same thing that he was doing. Only much better of course.

Ok how about this one:

"A smilie for those threads that are started just to complain about another thread that they don't have to read and does not contain the things that they state they want to see in a thread"

Is that better? I can't see where anyone would get butt hurt about this anymore then their insult about people arguing in another thread. What is the difference?

Why would someone complain about a thread not being informative, etc. and then start a whole nother thread about it and not have their thread have anything informative. Pretty ironic to say the least.

This whole thread should be deleted and if he is such a valued member then he should know better...

Except there's no name calling in this one or personal attacks in this one. So your suggestion is noted.

BTW, I'm sure everyone read this post....right?

Here's a better suggestion (it's only better because it's my idea, LOL)

Why doesn't someone point out exactly what I missed? From there, I can try to figure out what spawned this entire ordeal.

Regards,

Michelle (aka The Punisher)

P.S. The punisher was a joke.............so please, don't take it personal, ANY of you. :)

Hey, Michelle (the late-night post queen?)

Lone Star Ford in Houston, TX, ran an ebay auction listing a GT500 for a buy-it-now of $99,999 and a May 24 availability date, based on their paperwork from Ford. A forum member e-mailed a pointed message to the dealership, indicating their behavior was near-criminal (not the price, but the date). The internet manager retaliated in this forum, accusing the forum member of actually being affiliated with another dealer and of sending a computer virus. Then the internet manager's colleague joined the fight. Then the REAL "other" dealer joined the fight. Childish threats of legal action followed on several fronts. Some forum members were greatly entertained and took a few jabs. Some forum members grew tired of the antics. Another thread was started, and a couple forum members went at each other for a bit. Then the moderator stepped in and edited some content and called a halt to the whole deal. The internet colleague humbly apologized, the internet manager and the "other" dealer have remained silent, and the conflict between a couple forum members has left a few hard feelings. Check out the "interesting on ebay" thread for the whole sordid affair.

Ok, the punisher has done some investigating..........

As a participant on a wide array of forums, I can tell you that I see all sorts of threads that make no sense to me. Threads where I'd like to find the poster and beat the hell out of them with a bamboo stick in my free time. That being said, when I find things that make me shake my head in disbelief, I move on. I don't reply, as I feel it's a pure waste of my time.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if Jetsolver's topic was so bothersome, it's easier to move on. Insults aren't necessary. Personally speaking, I don't feel as though he did anything wrong. He escaped what appears to be a pure madhouse thread, spawned his own, and got his rant out of his system.

For quite some time, the frustration was been radiating on this board. Folks are understandably pissed, and everyone has a bad day now and then. I think it's not only helpful but also healthy for people to air their frustrations from time to time. So long as the vent is constructive, that's fine by me. Personal attacks aren't welcome at all.

edit

Thanks FastStuff. I found some bts and pieces, but it all makes sense now. :yup:
