badpuss
I have a Shaker 1000 and it has MP3 printed on the face of the head unit, I have an IPOD. Can the system play my IPOD and if so how? I'm old so don't laugh at my ignorance, I just want to play my Robin Trower while my Vortech SC builds boost. moabman
You have to play your iPod through the aux input jack located in the center console - you'll need a miniplug to miniplug cable that you plug into the Aux input jack and the earphone plug on your iPod. The mp3 means that you can copy mp3 files to a CD and the system will be able to read & play the CD. You can get about 100 mp3 songs on a CD (depends on the bit rate you created them with). I just bought one last week. It's made so that it fits on the male end of a regular headphone type plug and turns it into a miniplug. - Josh

badpuss
Don't forget to read the manual on how to play your ipod...there are some buttons to push. Guys, I'm still a bit confussed here. All I can find in the center console is the 12volt accessory plug, I don't understand how plugging the Ipod into this will send the signal to the shaker head unit, also I have read the Ford manual and don't see any mention about how to hook and operate the ipod. I do see that RadioShack sells a FM converter for the Ipod made by Monster for $50.00, it works by connecting the Ipod through a FM signal to the shaker by plugging the Ipod into the 12volt inlet and then tuning the adapter to a FM station. jb

Has nothing to do with using an ipod.

All you need to do is get a cord from your local electronic store that goes from your I Pod headphone output plug to the Aux. plug that moabman is talking about and Wha-La the sound from your I Pod will play thru your stereo, dont forget to press the Aux. button on your stereo to get the sound from that aux. jack. I do however have the AUX button on the Shaker1000 head unit. I bought the mini-input cord for $4.00 at Best Buy but can't find anywhere to plug the thing into. Glad you have the 'Go' with the 'Show.' Thanks alot secondo for the comments on my car, that was a great show. I think the total was 400 regesitered Mustangs that day. How did you like the restored 68 Shelby GT500 that was there? it was just one of many many clean and rare Mustangs. What did you have there?
