spyhunter
I have a 07 Alloy Mustang and i was wondering if the "Mustang" strip on the lower door on both sides of the vehicle can be removed? Are the paint or sticker? Reason? I want to replace them with something else. A different Mustang Stripe that i like better, Does anyone know if this is something i can do myself? Any help would be great.
kaylan1521
Yes, it can be removed. All you need is a heat gun and patience. With the heat gun on a low setting, point it at the stripe but not for too long. You'll know how long to hold it there once you get started. Once the vinyl is warmed up it'll soften the glue behind it and you'll be able to pull the stripe off. Once you have the stripe off just use goo gone or something like it to get the glue residue off. spyhunter
Thanks for the info. If i choose not to buy a heat gun do you think a hair dryer will work?

Probably take a little longer but it'll work, and less chance of overheating stripe/paint
