BoneDoc
Those on the board lucky enough to have orders in will soon be driving their dream car. Your car will have 3 "voices": first will be the 500HP monster under the hood... growling and "whining" in all it's supercharged glory! second will be the rear tires screaming for help as you pour on the power! :burnout: third will be the sound system! here is my question to you all: What is the "perfect" song to be played as we drive our shelby's home? interested to hear your responses. I plan to use your suggestions (and a few of my own) to compile a CD with some @$$-kickin tunes to make the drive even more incredible and memorable! Remember, your first drive will only happen once... be prepared with some tunes that get your juices flowing...doctor's orders!

jlw
Wasn't planning on listening to the radio on the drive home when I eventually get the car, but if I was going to listen to a song, probably Bad Motor Scooter by Montrose. Try driving to that slow! (Only good thing Sammy did)

Kenardo
I'm going with either " Take it Easy " by the Eagles, as I did with my Bullitt when I drove it out of the lot May 24/01 or " Hey Little Cobra " but then the " William Tell Overture" is a much longer piece !!! Son of GT
My choices: 1. Radar Love. (Golden Earring). 2. Born to Run. (B. Springsteen). 3. Hey, little Cobra. (Beach Boys). 4. And around dusk, near the end of the drive, when I'm getting close to home: "Green Onions". (Booker T and the MG's).
RUFDRAFT
(son of GT - Hey Little Cobra was Ronnie & the Datyonas!) Bone doc: Gotcha! :happy feet: Yes - I agree - this deserves a stand-alone thread. Tunes and cars go together - like whiskey and beer. When I picked up my '03 Mach 1 (now gone) in Richmond, I had Bad to the Bone ready to slip into the CD, but found myself lowering the windows for the ride home - just listening to the 32V engine make sounds of joy. For your pennance - at least go read my 10 ways to alleviate PSDS on that thread! ps - Nationwide by ZZTop has to be mentioned.

Orf
I think the first song I'll crank while driving (and it will likely be used sparingly thereafter) is Oh Yeah, by Yellow (from the movie Secret of My Success). Then, I might have to fire up the theme from The Sopranos. After that it will be mostly Sirius channel 15.
Three Cobras
Good ones all. BUT. 'Stairway to Heaven' (Zepp) is it.
