colt
Hello everyone, I did it yesterday. But for background inf, I was planning to pay 20K over MSRP for my new toys. But now I will be pay less with the information and comments from this site. So here what I got: 1) Obtain powerlease - paid $12K 2) Find dealers that understand powerlease - got @ 1K over invoice Based on my preliminary total cost to have my new toys: $12K(no tax) + $1K over invoice (est. $40K) + gasguztax est. 2K + tax & licence est. $4K (10 % of $40K) = $58K est. Compare to my original plan $20K over MSRP (est $42K) + gasguztax est. 2K + tax & licence est. $6.2K (10 % of $62K) = $70.2K est. I'm waiting to see what will be my additional cost for auto insurance. As you can see I saved $12.2K. More, I will get to order the exact color and options i like. The best of all I can go to any dealers to place my order and I will be guarantee to get my GT500 this summer. I hope this will help for some whose still not sure about getting yor dream car. Since this forum help guide me I like to return the favor. My order: Coupe, Performance White with Vista Blue, Groups & Packages option Priority 21, Order date 5/
Gerry Chase 1128
Congratulations!!! You might get slammed for saying you paid over MSRP. However, you will be driving one, and it will be worth every penny. ENJOY!!
Fastbackman
The only thing that concerns me is the priority 21. I would have expected lower on a powerlease. This priority may be changed lower by Ford at the regional level though.

You are getting the car you want, you are getting it sooner rather than later, and you are happy with the price. That is a satisfied customer. I ordered mine a week ago, I am paying over MSRP, and I'm satisfied also. For me, it would probably be best if I don't actually take possesion until next spring for financial reasons, but mentally, I WANT IT NOW!
RUFDRAFT
Great news, man. Congrats I was reading another thread here where someone said Powerleases could only be transferred within the family. Apparently, not so. Good for you.
Super Cobrajet
Congrats on the purchase :happy feet: . Even though I'm first on my dealers list at $10,000 over MSRP and my car is ordered I considered purchasing a Powerlease just to assure early delivery. The way I've understood posts here the Powerlease cars were going to be delivered first. I may be wrong though. That priorty 21 doesn't sound right  . You might want to see if you can have your dealer lower that.

You might want to see if you can have your dealer lower that. The priority number at this time means nothing yet. Because during the order processes, the dealer talked to the rep I been dealing with from the Powerlease Support Center. He told them just enter the order. He will modify it later after he received the order. I will follow up with him later this week. So I will see where I stand.
