Do We Have A Good Dealer Or What?

I've had a long-standing distrust of car dealers (especially their service centers), but my Dad & I came across a good one...Lynch Ford in Mount Vernon, Iowa. They have treated us very well during sales, have invited us to the regular BBQ's they hold for new customers, and have basically gone the extra mile for us. They run their dealership like a dealership should be run. I wish you all could experience such a great buying experience.

Here's an example of that extra special touch that we've grown accustomed to...

Lynch took photos of my Dad & I in front of the GT500 and laminated those into little baseball cards with pertinent vehicle information on the front and our salesman's info on the back. Our salesman on the '07 SGT & '08 GT500 has been Chuck James.

Hi Art, here are two galleries of the GT500 and one from the SGT. Where are you living now? I assume you couldn't take the weather swings and vacated Iowa. LOL

My sister-in-law and her husband farm near Mt. Vernon and they told me the same thing about Lynch Ford when I was looking for my GT500. They must do a great job because they had all kinds of nice things to say about them. It's important to recognize the dealers that run good operations. The dealer I bought my GT500 from just NE of you, Virtue Motors in Darlington, WI was also great. I have also had great service buying after market gear from my local dealer Sioux Falls Ford. The car business is no different that any other. Some are good and some are not.

I now live in northern California I vacation there in the spring now.

When I was in the navy I used to come home at Christmas. It was before I got smart.

Springtime in Iowa is a beautiful thing trees have leaves crops are in and growing and the snow is gone.

You're right about spring-time Iowa. There's a golden 2-3 weeks there where the weather is perfect. Same for the fall...its happening right now.

I've been to Northern California. My family did a sight-seeing cruise up the coast from SF to Eureka about 15-16 years ago. I'd love to do it again in a real car...not a buick 4dr rental. I hate to admit I got a little car sick somewhere along the way because I was dumb enough to try to read Hot Rod while my Dad took the twisties.

Great color combo, I was torn between white/blue & red/white. I left it to my Dad to make the final choice and he went white/blue because thats how the first Shelbys were built.
