Lutzcat
Just dropped off the Shelby at the dealer to replace my door handles, they were binding and the handles were not closing properly. This seems to a common problem with the mustangs according to the service tech. Everyone needs to check for leaks when washing or in the rain on the right side of the dash, (underneath), The service tech said they've had a lot of problems from this area and the problem is a V shaped area underneath the black plastic cowling, the one that covers the wiper assy. , it's where two body panels meet and needs sealant My water leak develop very quickly, water poured into the passenger side floorboard anytime I washed it. The tech said it was a easy fix, just take the cowling off and reseal. The door handles are being overnighted, so I should have it back tomorrow. Lutzcat
Can we get a visual of this? A picture or something to help us identify? They were working on the leak yesterday, probably too late for a picture. It's very simple to check to see if you have any leaks in that area. Just spray water on the right side of the windshield and then feel the carpet on the passenger side in the far right corner. On mine, you could see a stream of water hitting the floor. I could have had it a long time, but when it was like Niagara Falls, it caught my attention. The fix is pretty simple as described in my earlier post. This is my first vert, so I'm kinda paranoid about it. I don't think it would make a difference between a coupe or vert. If you remember, we met at the gathering and I couldn't get over how your light bar changed the looks of the car. We had a good time that day. I have a red with white stripes coupe. chuckstang
I got a question sort of off topic but, has anyone else noticed that the rubber molding on the lowest most part of the windshield is not straight across but has a funny hump upwards on the driver side? Is this normal or did my molding get out of wack, it looks funny now that I noticed it?

SSGT500
I had a similar water issue on my 2008. I found it was not a leak but clogged a/c heater unit drains. There are two drains for this in the engine compartment under the cowl area. They are black rubber nipples. You can check them by hand although the drivers side one is harder to get at. Debris tends to build up in them. I flushed mine by running soapy water into the cowl vent and manipulating the drain.
