That makes sense, sorry, I agree that the rails more than likely run 24/7 365. Mine will more than likely be shipped hauler as it is only a 200 mile trip from plant to my dealer. Heck I only live 20 miles from the plant, wish they would just let me go pick it up!!!! :happy feet:

I don't THINK Ford ships anything out over the weekend. But I'm not a 100% on that.

I do know that once it has been released and shipped from the plant that the railroads and transport drivers do run on weekends. We get cars dropped at the dealership all the time on weekends, so the transport drivers do run on weekends.

I think if the car is sitting at Ford still then it wouldn't get shipped until the next business day that Ford employees are at work.

This may or may not be the case where cars are shipped by railcar and they have to be dropped at certain drop points and loaded to another railcar. Sometimes they can be sitting at a holding yard while waiting to get loaded to another railcar at certain points along the way. Whether those yards work weekends or not I don't know.

AutoPort ships the cars once Ford gives them over to them. Autoport works Tuesday thru Sat. and are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Hum, just guessing but being my car was built 8/29 or 8/30 (got two different dates) I would suspect nothing left the plant so maybe tomorrow?
