switz
Greetings all, For me, with all the 1968 Shelby styles on the SS, the SHELBY badging was a must for me. It looks fantastic on the KR and I am convinced it will look great on the SS. I have seen a few posts on here regarding this and it seems many want it. I have also seen a few posts saying Amy has stated it is not going to happen. So, I asked her and she responded directly to me. She stated that she would have no problem with this as an option as long as Ford would give them the SHELBY letters. The SHELBY badging looks great on the rear with the stripes and it should look great on the front hood too. I hope this clears some of the confusion regarding this. I have owned three other Shelby's in my life (53 years old). A 1968 GT500 vert in high school which I have a picture of some parts when I got into an accident (I am trying to find this and will post), a 1968 GT350 vert and a 1967 GT500. Unfortunately, I sold all of these prior to them being worth anything...Oh well, I am back into the game and will do the SS upgrade! Great forum folks, thanks for all the information. Oh, can someone perhaps photoshop the hood with the letters to see what it looks like with the SS stripes? Please? switz
intguys
So does that we may be able to get SHELBY across the hood?
switz
Well, according to my email from Amy, she said that as long as Ford would give up the letters (I am not sure why they would for the rear and not the front) then she would have no problem with offering it as an option. The nice thing about an option is it keeps it from SAI and not something an owner would just add on. IMHO. switz

In that case, maybe the leters should be done backwards so that the poor sap looking in rearview mirror can read them!
