The dealer is a SVT dealer and also won the presidents award. The dealer stated that they have plug the order in the system. I am third in line two coupes then my convertible. They are saying that it is in the order bank but nothing else that they can tell me. Does this sound right or should I worry. This is a very reputable dealer. Vista Blue Convt with white stripe. First and foremost is the allocation/priority aspect. IF your dealer was "golden" (high volume, high volume Cobra, high volume GT, high volume SVT, President's award winner, etc...etc...) they'll likely have a good allocation and priority. Then comes YOUR priority within the dealership. That's the questionable factor for you. What we don't know is whether or not they'll produce the first one or two for a given dealership, then move on across regions or try to fulfil a dealers complete order then move on. My guess would be the first scenario. That MAY put you in the proverbial next round. Is there any way of moving up the food chain with your dealer and having him assign a higher priority code to your unit? Good luck. bj Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Five Oh B Posted May 11, 2006 Report Share Posted May 11, 2006 No order gets a full VIN # until Ford is ready to pull the order and submits it to the plant. Just having an order keyed in by the dealer and getting a DORA doesn't get you a VIN #. The order will just be sitting in the queue until Ford is ready to pull an order for your dealer. And if you just happen to be the next GT500 in line at your dealer (according to priority codes input on each order by the dealer) then it's your order that Ford would pull. The last report I heard is that satellite radio was not delayed and would be available for JOB1. I believe it was Ed(ISELLFORD) that posted the update. I believe he said that navigation would not be available until at least December. I didn't even know navigation was being kicked around as an option though. If I can find the link, I will post it. The dealer is a full SVT dealer for years and won the presidents award. I paid 5,000 over sticker which I thought was very Fair. They put the order in order bank but two are ahead of me.
