Jersey International Motoring Festival - June 2 to 5 2022

This annual event (JIMF) is looking to make a return in 2022. This will take place on the island of Jersey. Subject to the Bailiwick's Bailiff approval, this event is planned to go ahead on the 2nd to the 5th June 2022.

Team Shelby British Isles will be present and we are planning to mark the 60th Anniversary of Shelby American as an integral part of the event.

The event is running in line with the island's planned Platinum Jubilee bank holidays in June, with a working assumption that the Thursday will be the start of the celebrations.

JIMF activities commence on Victoria Avenue, St Helier at 11am, with a planned pageant and cavalcade mixed with anniversaries and motor sport, together with a picnic on the park as well as a big screen on the People’s Park, St Helier and associated clubs and displays.

Friday is planned to Start at 1300 hrs with cavalcades and motor sport until 21.00, including hopefully the legendary Moonlight sprint.

For Saturday and Sunday it is hoped to remain the same as in the past, with the potential for a new idea of running period clothing over the event period in order to create a great atmosphere. These days include motor sport, car displays and a showcase of all the island's motor sport disciplines, including a live action arena.

Anyway that's the update, this a great chance to be a big part of the event, which will be special - the 75th Anniversary of the original Jersey International Road Races which commenced in 1947.

All items are still work in progress and dependent on the covid situation which is, at the moment, rapidly coming down from the peaks seen in the last month.

Note Jersey is part of the common travel area with the UK mainland.
