SteelSteeds
I saw my first GO Mustang today, and.... I'm disappointed. My early fears were confirmed: This color is damn near yellow. I REALLY want an orange car, but I'm having a hard time calling this orange. The '96 Mustang color Tangerine was a perfect orange, the '04 Competition Orange was acceptably close, but GO? I don't know. I'm really waffling. I also saw an Alloy, and it was gorgeous. What I'm trying to keep in mind now is that it was a bright, sunny day. Maybe with a few clouds the Alloy will look black again, which I don't want, and the GO will darken a bit and look more orange. Just venting. Give me '69 Calypso Coral! That would have been the better nod to the past, IMHO.

SteelSteeds
You're right Steel. On a cloudy day that Grabber Orange makes my PSDS go away! :happy feet: Or was that my SAD?? Hmmm?!!? Oh, that's funny.... Yeah, GO will definitely help anyone afflicted with SAD. Can a doctor write a prescription for a 2007 Shelby GT 500? More importantly, will my HMO adhere to the prescription cap? svttim, sorry to make you worry, but I guess you have to ask yourself how much you like yellow. Myself, I have no desire for a yellow car. If you parked a GO Mustang between a Screaming Yellow and a Tangerine model, it's going to be a bit closer to the yellow than to the tangerine. I'd say a mix of 60% SY and 40% T.

They have it outside on their ramp.............have to be honest, I much prefer the 04 Comp Orange.....................
PhantomAce
Just my 2 c worth: Long ago, Carroll Shelby said something to the effect of "a sports car should be yellow". Don't have the exact quote handy, but yellow was his preference. I am surprised that Ford doesn't offer a Yellow / Black stripe version. But then again, I am a lifelong Steelers fan. No Hayabusa & Helmet jokes please... Mike.

He also thought all hockey pucks should be pink. bj

Fastbackman
A guy just posted about 50 pics of his torch red in the arrival forum today. Makes me glad I chose it. All of them are beautiful, but I gotta have my red. I also like the two-tone interior, so that limits choices until ford offers more insert colors. rbortnick
Well, here's the official verdict: I ordered 2 GT500's. One Coupe, One Convertible. The Convertible: Grabber Orange Tungsten Grey stripes Shaker 500 (standard) Sirius Satellite option Premium Interior Charcoal Black Mike. Good choice Mike I think most people are underestimating the impact this color is going to have. My reasoning for going G. Orange 1) Its the only color offered that you can tell actually changes when looking at it from different angles. This is from pictures and videos, wait until you see it in real life. 2) Orange has gotta be the flagship musclecar color. 3) This color really brings out the cars details & features. 4) Most important of all - The chicks are really going to dig this color. Wait and see.
PhantomAce
Well, The only "chick" I get to worry about is my wife, and she hates the fact that I ordered these cars. However, she's been a "stay at home Mom" for the last 8 years, and I turn 6 figures a year, so she'll live, and she knows it... Besides, I grudgingly "agreed" that if there was a Shelby in the garage, I would lose the Ranchero project, which I used to drive in HS. Car has been around longer than her, think that bugs her a bit. But..... If the color is all you say it is, then I'm going to be 1 happy camper!!! Mike.
