GT350 ALdriver
I am tired of the pandemic, and I need something to cheer me up. So I have made an agreement to purchase a 2019 GT350 later this week, and I am very excited about this. This particular car has been sitting on the dealer lot for over a year, and it has about 75 miles on the odometer. My question is this - Is it best to go ahead and get the dealer to change the oil and oil filter before I drive it off the lot this Friday? Or would you maybe put about 1000 miles on the odometer for the duration of the break in and just change the oil early? I appreciate any thoughts or advice other owners might have. Thanks! twobjshelbys
I would have them change it. But be sure they run the engine to warm it up first! You need to get any possible condensation out of the engine before changing it. If they won't do it for you then do it yourself.
GT350 ALdriver
Thanks for your input. I talked to the dealer, and he said they would have fresh oil and a fresh oil filter in it when I pick it up Friday.
