robert mroz
How many miles should a shelby have on it when it reaches the dealer from the factory,? I'm trying to determine if a prospective car to purchase was test driven at the dealership. Thanks
twobjshelbys
Are you thinking that the dealer may have used this as a demonstrator? Is this a Ford-Shelby like a GT350 or GT500? Most new vehicles are typically driven less than 5-10 miles, I've seen as few as 2. Ford will occasionally put up to 20 miles on but they also include a note saying it was driven in a closed track space for quality purposes. If this is a Shelby post title like a SuperSnake, I could see that Shelby could add miles to vehicles that have engine modifications, e.g., adding a supercharger or changing the characteristics of an existing one, or other engine mods. I would expect only a few extra miles for mainly cosmetic changes like wheel, body and interior changes.
