RevsUp
I'm looking for just handful of simple bolt ons that will bring my Mustang GT up from the stock 300HP to approximately 330-340 HP. The biggest requirements are that they be street legal and won't void my warranty. Cold air inductions, headers, Cat Back systems and Axle Backs would all fall into this category. Got any others? List 'em here. Share your experiences, results, impressions about the products you are considering and most of all have tried. Looking forward to all that shared knowledge out there. Cheers and All the Best, RevsUp

Cheers and All the Best, RevsUp You're right on. CAI (WMS is my favorite), a proper custom tune on the dyno, and Ford racing mufflers gained 30 hp for one of my customers. Do a larger throttle body and you'll be right around 335 hp. Add long tubes and high flow cats and you'll be flirting with 350 hp.
socalwrench
Easy power is from the CAI, reflash, and mufflers. However, be careful with adding any parts- as dealerships can deem any aftermarket part as something to void your warranty. Not to thread jack, but is 400hp (engine) N/A possible without touching the short block? Any dyno tunes to prove/disprove this?

The trickiest job so far has been the cams. Everything else has been pretty normal mods. Check my profile for the full list of mods. Good luck. socalwrench
Just did, thanks for the ideas. Seems like you're still using the cats too. Good luck, RevsUp. There are plenty of things to use. Personally, I prefer the Steeda/FRPP CAI. Pick high flow mufflers that your like (sound wise, because most are fairly close in flow numbers- FRPP stingers being the least restrictive), install an x-pipe, grab a tuner (DiabloSport or SCT) and then contact Bamachips for a custom tune. I have the FRPP stingers and they sound great. I agree with everything else. Ken
BackInBlack
Im thinking of adding the FRPP CAI on my 07 GT/CS. My questions are, is the the tuner that comes with it ok, and is it worth the extra $$ for the mufflers you get with the Ford Power Pack? Also, is it any anvatage to switch to a colder range of plugs when adding a CAI. I would like to get rid of the OEM two piece plugs to avoid problems later on. I prefer going with Ford factory parts as logn as they are close to the other aftermarket stuff. Thanks.

The tuner that comes with the power pack is fine for most applications and it sounds to me as if you'd probably be very happy with it. However, for some real power gains, I'd buy an SCT tuner from Bamachips or Brenspeed and have them load a custom tune for you. You'll gain more power from their tune than from the entire power pack, IMO. As for plugs, they aren't necessary or advantageous unless you add a supercharger. As for the mufflers, I didn't like them much. I'd save the $ not spent on the power pack mufflers and invest in a set of the FRPP Stingers. Good luck.
