  1. Hello All, I have acquired a Paxton supercharger that was taken off of a 1966 mustang gt350. The car was my fathers, when he sold the car in the mid 1980’s the future owner had specific plans for racing the car and didn’t want the blower. I have read that only 11 gt350’s were factory equipped and it is believed that only 9 still exist. I am trying to find out the history for mine. Every other one that I’ve seen has COBRA etched into the manifold that goes over carb, mine has SHELBY etched in that location. So - who can tell me some info on this piece? thanks Mike

Other then knowing that there were 500 built for the 2016 model year, I was wondering how many were built by color. Specifically oxford white.   3. #1 Ok, so this issue has perplexed me for over 3 years now. I picked up a rebuilt / salvage title 07 GT500 back in 2015. Everything is near perfect however when I wholeshot the car my guages, dash lights, ABS, and stereo power cycle. It's quite distracting and upsetting when it happens as it's usually when I'm trying to enjoy the power this beast has. I've taken it to the local speed shop who wants a ton of money to analyze the electronics and Dyno the car.. So I've physically checked the ground connections which seem ok (no multimeter testing though). considering it's an RPM triggered event I'm suspecting that it ISN'T a ground issue. I've disengage the ABS because when the power cycles it instantly turns back on the ABS creating problems. My suspicion is that the person who rebuilt the GT500 cheaped out on a replacement alternator and either installed a junk GT alternator (not GT500) or perhaps a defective one that maybe sends a surge at 2000 RPM. I just can't think of anything else that involves electronics and would be 2000 rpm sensitive. I sure would appreciate if an expert from this forum could assist as I'm completely lost. 3 years with the car and I can't take it over 2000 without fearing the unknown...   4. I am in the need of replacement Whipple Supercharger labels. One of my original labels has fallen off and was lost during a cruise somewhere. I removed the second because it was sliding off and did not want to loose two of them. My first phone call was placed with Whipple who stated they did not have anymore like this. I also contacted Tasca Ford who installed the supercharger who also stated they did not have any of these. Shelby Automobiles were contacted by phone with none available. A large amount of time was also spent searching Ebay for these. I attended a car show last year and found a gentleman with a present generation Whipple Supercharged Shelby GT with a silver and black label affixed to his forced induction. My question is there anybody out there with a set of original labels to purchase or is it possible to obtain a pair of the new silver and black labels from Shelby Automobiles?   5. Just had a custom fabricated strut tower brace for my 2016 Shelby Gt with a Whipple Supercharger, and wanted to share with anyone looking for one. I couldn't find anyone on the internet who makes one to fit with a Supercharger, and I had one custom fabricated by a local company "Built Industries". Built Industries fabricates custom headers and exhaust for lots of exotic cars i.e. Ferrari, lamborghini,McClaren etc.. and does quality work. I paid $450.00 including the powder coating and installation. I received the Ford Racing/ Whipple emblem from Whipple who is here local in Fresno, Ca. to dress up the brace. I included Built Industries contact info in the pics if anyone wants to order one. Looking forward to track day at Norcal Shelby Mini Nats August 6 & 7. Hank Perry

I purchased a vmp gen 2 blower and throttle body from vmp, upgraded my injectors to id1000s, boost a pump, 2.4 in pulley, 15% overdrive pulley, lt headers, vmp triple pass heat exchanger, belt tensions, jlt 123mm cai, and it runs great at about 3/4 throttle, but as soon as i WOT and the boost kicks in my car studders and falls on its face, im swapping out spark plugs today and gapping them to .30 like they recommended, but there telling me that sparks the only issue with my tune, i don't personally see how it can be spark but im swapping them just to be safe, has anyone had any issues like this and have a resolution, or any ideas what the issue may be? I'll keep everyone posted if the spark does fix the problem. Then the car falls on its face it shoots flames out the rear pipes, just in case that may be an indicator to a potential resolution. Thanks for any help!
  7. Hi all, so I have a question. Recently, I was driving to a patient's house, was cruising at highway speed, put the car in 6th and everything appeared fine. Car was around 2k RPM's. I pressed on the gas to get around another vehicle and a loud screechy noise came out of the front of the car. I downshifted and didn't see anymore problems. So, now, it seems like the Supercharger belt is slipping, thought it was just weird that the loud noise only came when the RPM's were lower. Lets say I'm in 3rd gear, around 2 to 2.5k RPM and step on the gas, engage the boost....RPM's go up, boost gauge goes up, loud noise happens, but the car doesn't respond. The RPM's will drop back to where they were and the car "catches up". The loud screechy noise only lasts for a second or two. If the car is above 3k RPM's, the boost still engages, the RPM's go up without the car responding, then the car catches up, but no loud noise. This is my first car with a supercharger so not sure what to look for. The belt looks okay to me, but again, not really sure what to look for. The car is stock. although I have been looking at changing the pulley to a 2.4. I can take a video of what happens if that will help. Wanted to check here first before going to my Ford dealer.   8. Hey guys...new to the forum and just had a few questions about mods. I have a '13 gt500...putting on SW longtube headers w/ off road h-pipe and 3 inch exhaust next week with a dyno tune. Anyone have any experience with Stainless Works systems? -Im planning some other mods to my car, possibly the JDM super stocks camshafts, any thoughts on these? Worth 2200 and the hassle putting them in? - What about the stock supercharger? Upgrade to a kennebell / whipple or tweak the stock TVS with a pulley / tune? -What mods would you guys recommend? Any input you have is appreciated. Thanks

  10. Just received my 2013 ported 2.3 tvs and port matched elbow. Any quick pointers or suggestions on making swap easier. First time doing this kind of bolt on so want opinions on how to do so.
  11. I am having some modifications done to my 2007 Shelby. One thing I am adding is a Whipple 2.9 L supercharger. The car only has 1,600 miles on it, so I was thinking of selling the original supercharger. Any idea what I should be asking? I want to be fair, but I don't want to "give" it away. Thanks.
  12. I know everyone has seen the same posts over and over but I have a few questions about the how I should proceed. Who can perform the modification near Michigan so Shelby America recognizes the supercharger. Do I need to take my car to Shelby for the modification? I have decided on the Shelby Kenne Bell supercharger but I would like to add CAMS also. What are the best cams to use with the KB supercharger? I have an automatic car and I would like to know if anyone has a stage II KB supercharger with a stock auto behind it? Thanks Randy 07SGT4354
  13. There was a thread on a oil separator install for the Whipple supercharged Shelby GT's that I wanted to reply to but I thought it was only for Shelby brand separators. I installed this a few months back and purchased it before Shelby marketed their own. The Fittings are Parker brand. The system seems to work good. Oil does go into the catch container which I drain on occasion. I went this way because I liked the look of the stainless braided Teflon hoses. -Kevin
  14. To supercharge... or not to supercharge... Pros: 475 HP out of a V6 with up to 30mpg is kinda awsome (according to me). Cons: -- Voiding the warranty -- May not be "legal" in all 50 States because of emission inspections. (Procharger says that they are working on making it 50 State compliant asap.) -- Cost = ~$6K to have it installed by a local shop or ~$9K to have it installed by Shelby.
