What is your two (2) letter state/provincial code or provincial code?

  1. #1 Ok, so this issue has perplexed me for over 3 years now. I picked up a rebuilt / salvage title 07 GT500 back in 2015. Everything is near perfect however when I wholeshot the car my guages, dash lights, ABS, and stereo power cycle. It's quite distracting and upsetting when it happens as it's usually when I'm trying to enjoy the power this beast has. I've taken it to the local speed shop who wants a ton of money to analyze the electronics and Dyno the car.. So I've physically checked the ground connections which seem ok (no multimeter testing though). considering it's an RPM triggered event I'm suspecting that it ISN'T a ground issue. I've disengage the ABS because when the power cycles it instantly turns back on the ABS creating problems. My suspicion is that the person who rebuilt the GT500 cheaped out on a replacement alternator and either installed a junk GT alternator (not GT500) or perhaps a defective one that maybe sends a surge at 2000 RPM. I just can't think of anything else that involves electronics and would be 2000 rpm sensitive. I sure would appreciate if an expert from this forum could assist as I'm completely lost. 3 years with the car and I can't take it over 2000 without fearing the unknown... Thank you in advance whoever you are who will be taking time out of your day to help me. Carl
  2. Hi all, I've moved back to the Monterey Peninsula from the South Bay (still work in Cupertino, but now live in the Skyline Forest area). Where do Team Shelby members take their Shelbys for maintenance and repair on the Monterey Peninsula? Any recommendations? I'm willing to pay a little extra for someone who's reputable and reliable. My '07 Shelby GT is due for an oil change, and I also need a short throw shifter and GT500 KR axle back exhaust [M-5230-S] installed. Any and all recommendations are appreciated!
  3. Hi all, Well, as some on here already know, I was backed into in a parking lot a few weeks ago. The lady backed up and hit my front passenger side. She damaged the hood, front bumper, and a little warping on the grille, and broke the HID headlight on that side. There seems to be no sturctural damage to the frame or the radiator support, but it has not been taken apart yet. So now my questions are... 1. Do I just get the parts repaired, and keep it all "original"?(I do have quite a few mods, but still have all the original parts as well) 2. Do I have the damaged parts replaced? 3. Do I take the money from the lady and trade it in on a new 2012 with the SVTPP, Recaro seats, and Nav, that is being offered at a good price, and put them both towards the new car? 4. Do I go ahead and list the car for sale as is and then use that money and the money from the lady on a new 2012 (as stated above)? The repairs are not disabling, but the bumper has large gashes and a crack, the hood has a pretty good dent and a slight bend/ warp about midway up on the passengers side, the HID turns on (but the case and the mounting bracket are broken), and several plasic clips for the radiator cover are off or broken. I do love my 2008. I have a lot in her. (clutch, 3.73, FRPP Performance pack, FRPP Handling pack, Smaller Pulley and tune, Shelby Leather Interior, Custom painted center console and trunk mounted tool box), and is almost paid for (19 months left) The 2012 Has Nav, Recarro seats, the SVTPP, aluminium engine, a waranty (for however long that lasts ), and would actually be a lower monthly payment (but would be a new loan and more years of payments in relation to the 2008) So any advice/ opinions would be appriciated. Thanks
