What is your two (2) letter state/provincial code or provincial code?

  1. I would like to find a deep draw hood made like the Terlingua hood that would fit on a GT500 and allow enough clearance for the blower. Anyone seen such an item anywhere? DC
  2. Just got my 2012 SS back, along with all the takeoff parts. Is there a market for these parts? I'm guessing eBay would be the place to sell them, but thought to ask you fine folks first. Here's what I have for sale: 1 front splitter 2 rocker panels 2 mufflers & pipes washer fluid cap supercharger 2 front rotors/2front calipers shifter assembly pan hard bar drive shaft front brake backing plate rear brakes cooling reservoirs hood (black, stripe delete) These are takeoffs from my 2012 GT500. The car had approx 3,800 miles on it before the SS conversion was made, so parts are in good shape. I believe this list is complete, but i could have missed something. Thanks, Jered

  5. I have a 2008 GT500, performance white with ebony stripes. My baby's got 16,000 miles and it's been garaged everyday. About a month ago I noticed that the paint had some tiny bubbling on top just at the back edge. Looked almost like a minor contaminate (maybe small bits of dust) under the paint. Today I found more on the front edge. Lifted the hood and found plenty of the same all along the under side edges. One of the spots, about the size of a quarter, flaked off. I'm looking at pure aluminum oxide! I'm pissed. Now before anyone tells me that I should by a Venum/SS hood (and I might), I would like to keep all the parts that make it original. I know the 5/60 warranty says that the corrosion has to be through the panel, but at that point the hood could be toast. Aluminum isn't just like steel. Anyone have this issue yet? Before I go and start the battle at my dealer, I would love to have some backup. Still have 14 months to go under warranty.
  6. I have a 2008 Shelby GT & am considering getting a different hood. With it's dimensions in mind, is there an easy way to find other hood styles with the same dimensions that would easily fit? In my optimistic mind I'm hoping there's a website feature out there where you plug in the make/model/year of your car & it spits out options for you, but that's got to be fantasy (not to mention lazy). I know nothing about the process, whether these have to be custom made or not, whether a different hood usually or always requires new front fascia, etc. Any info, advice, experience appreciated. I realize that anything can be custom made, but at least initially I want to see what I can get done sooner. And does anyone happen to know if replacing the hood cancels their extended warranty? I haven't checked mine yet. Thanks.
